IIPSGP Coordinator for Ukraine and Ukrainian Committee member of the World Intellectual Forum (Europe);currently in exile in Austria due to Ukraine invasion by Russia, Laryssa was invited to take the role of coordinator of WIF for Ukraine and she attended our online zooms, especially once the invasion of Ukraine by Russia happened in February 2022. For several weeks she was sheltering in fear like most of the population of Kiev under bombardment. She gave very moving testimony to our zoom webinars about this experiment which was shocking to us and harrowing to her. She is a consummate intellectual, a philosopher, and expert in French existentialist philosophy and phenomenology such as the work of Levinas. She holds a position at the National Institute of Philosophy in Kiev part of the Ukrainian academy of sciences, whose work has been put on hold for the duration of the war. She recently had to flee to Austria where she is now living in temporary exile along with 4 million other Ukrainians.

A younger intellectual, perpetual student, lover of Gaelic culture and Catholic Christian and druid heritage of Scotland. Active campaigner for Scottish independence and secretary of Intellectuals for Scottish Freedom. Lives near Loch Lomond in Scotland and is a strong campaigner for ecological sanity. Spoke very well at our Academic meeting in June 2022 about the Scottish government’s ecological plans for the future after independence from Westminster.
